Straight-leg Deadlifts while standing on a bench works hips, hamstrings and glutes. Oscillating Kinetic Energy (OKE) from the Bar keeps the posterior chain flexible, too, but this exercise works best to strengthen the Lateral Compartment of the Thigh – right down to the knee joint. This makes it a valuable tool for football, hockey and baseball players.
